Sofitel the Palm appoints new operations head

DUBAI, July 18, 2017

Sofitel The Palm has announced the appointment of Ramsey El Saarany as the new director of operations for the five-star property.
 
El Saarany, a British National, joined in August 2013 as director of rooms, at Sofitel Dubai Downtown. He was part of the pre-opening team of the 350-key property and was later promoted to the role of executive assistant manager - Rooms.  
 
With over 14 years’ experience in the hotel industry, El Saarany has worked with a number of luxury hotels and resorts in Dubai. Ramsey started his career at the five-star The Landmark Hotel in London before moving to Dubai in 2004 as a management trainee and then moved onto the role of guest services manager at the only seven-star hotel in the world. His additional hospitality experience in Dubai includes a role at another leading luxury resort, as rooms division manager, where he was responsible for leading the entire rooms division team.
 
El Saarany holds a BSc in International Hospitality Management from the University of Surrey and also gained an Executive MBA from CASS Business School. He plans to bring his extensive knowledge of the Sofitel brand, excellent understanding of the dynamic Dubai hospitality market coupled with a passion for excellence, to his new role at Sofitel The Palm. - TradeArabia News Service
