Mövenpick Bahrain appoints new sales director

MANAMA, October 3, 2017

Mövenpick Hotel Bahrain has announced the appointment of Karim El Berkchi as the property’s new director of sales and marketing.

With over 15 years in the hospitality industry, El Berkchi brings a wealth of knowledge to the five-star hotel, including a solid GCC background and strategic sales experience.

El Berkchi was previously the cluster director of sales and marketing for the Radisson Blu Hotels in the Omani cities of Muscat and Sohar. This appointment also marks a personal return for him to the hotel group of Swiss origin, as he worked with Mövenpick Hotel Kuwait as sales manager in 2006.

“It’s a wonderful feeling to be back at Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts, especially at this well-reputed property with its strong hold in Bahrain’s market. I look forward to working closely with my team on expanding its market share further, improving RevPar and building on the hotel’s base of success,” said El Berkchi.

Just a two-minute walk from Bahrain International Airport, the 106-room Mövenpick Hotel Bahrain is only 15 minutes from the business centre in Manama.

It was voted the Middle East’s Best Airport Hotel for three consecutive years by The Skytrax Awards. Overlooking the sprawling Arad Bay, which is one of Bahrain’s protected natural habitats, the hotel offers atmospheric dining experiences and rejuvenating treatments in Rimal Spa. - TradeArabia News Service
