Rotana named Best Employer in Iraq, Lebanon

DUBAI, 29 days ago

Rotana, one of the leading hotel management companies in the region, has been named the Best Employer in Iraq and Lebanon at the prestigious Aon Best Employers – Middle East awards 2017.

As one of the largest hospitality employers in the region that supports thousands of direct and indirect jobs, the recognition by the global leader in talent, Aon Hewitt, is a milestone achievement for Rotana, and an endorsement of the efforts it has undertaken to foster a collaborative work environment while ensuring the highest level of employee loyalty and satisfaction.
The award coincides with the brand’s completion of 25 successful years in the business, becoming the leading hotel management company in the region, with 55 operating properties in 21 cities across 13 countries in the Middle East, Africa and Turkey.

Now in its 17th year, the Aon awards identify the top performing companies based on high employee engagement, effective leadership, compelling employer brand and strong performance culture.

“It is a great honour to accept this prestigious award for the Best Employer in Iraq and Lebanon from Aon,” said Joseph Abou Yaghi, corporate vice president – Human Resources, Rotana Hotel Management Corporation. “2017 is a historic year for Rotana as we reach an important milestone of completing two and a half decades of catering to the needs of the region’s tourism and hospitality sector. Winning this coveted title makes our 25th anniversary celebrations even more special, and we dedicate this award to every member of the Rotana family who has entrusted us with the responsibility of supporting their professional growth and development,” added Yaghi.

“At Rotana, our people are at the heart of the organisation and they are led by the guiding principle of ‘The Rotana Life’, which extends into our four key pillars including Long-term, Innovative, Friendly and Ethical. This achievement demonstrates the accomplishment of the professionals in holding firmly to these values to support the company’s vision of being the preferred employer, and sustaining a positive work environment in which the employees strive to deliver top quality service while being appreciated, acknowledged and rewarded. The award will also serve as an inspiration across the organisation to further drive our nationalisation efforts in order to integrate more locals with a deep understanding of the cultures and communities in the markets in which we operate, into the workforce, and in doing so, enabling us to contribute immensely to promoting economic growth, diversification and job creation in countries across the region,” he added.

Recognised for its commitment to raising the standards within the hotel industry by constantly evolving its service offering, Rotana has received more than 350 regional and international awards to the date.

As it completes 25 years of operations, Rotana is busy laying the foundation for its next phase of success and growth. The company has a strong pipeline with more than 49 properties – located in 26 cities in the Middle East, Africa and Turkey – under various stages of development. Fifteen of these hotels will open before the end of 2018, adding more than 3,800 keys to the company’s existing inventory. - TradeArabia News Service
