Dubai Culture launches new activities at Etihad Museum

DUBAI, October 26, 2017

Dubai Culture & Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) has responded quickly to the UAE leadership’s directives by kick-starting its ‘Dubai Fitness Challenge’ activities at the Etihad Museum.

Dubai Culture selected the Etihad Museum as the starting point for its activities because the museum is one of the most important historical and national landmarks in UAE. The authority responded to the ‘Dubai Fitness Challenge’ by organising the monthly meeting between its senior leaders, where the acting director general met with other Dubai Culture officials and attendees, and encouraged them to walk through the museum's corridors while discussing the activities and to continue standing during the meeting.

Saeed Al Nabouda, acting director general of Dubai Culture, said: "Dubai Culture is taking a step forward in developing our growing cultural landscape, guided by our leadership’s vision of promoting a healthy, happy lifestyle among all UAE residents. This is an important step that demonstrates our commitment to supporting the Dubai Plan 2021 for a city of happy, creative and empowered people."

Dubai Culture has published several awareness messages through its internal channels to motivate employees across the Authority’s various departments to actively participate in the ‘Dubai Fitness Challenge’. The authority has also announced a full programme of activities that will help employees to get involved and choose sports that complement their interests, hobbies and physical abilities.

Dubai Culture aims to enhance Dubai’s cultural scene and draw attention to the emirate’s rich heritage with a variety of initiatives that take place throughout the year. The authority’s mandate is to build bridges of constructive dialogue between different civilisations and cultures through enriching initiatives that benefit the Emirate’s citizens, residents and visitors. - TradeArabia News Service
