Bahrain opens new 400-m walkway in Tubli

MANAMA, November 23, 2017

Bahraini authorities have announced the official opening of a 400-metre-long-walkway in Tubli area of the kingdom.

The BD500,000 ($1.3 million) project, which boasts 8,000 sq m of green space in addition to other family-oriented facilities, was opened to the public on Tuesday (November 21), reported BNA.

Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Ministry Undersecretary Dr Nabeel Mohammed Abul Fateh inaugurated the key infrastructure project in the presence of MP Ali Al-Ateesh, Capital Trustees director-general Mohammed bin Ahmed Al-Khalifa and other officials.

Dr Fateh described the first phase as a value-added milestone to entertainment and environmental projects, which would contribute to protecting the Tubli Bay.

He stressed the importance of the infrastructure project as a beachfront entertainment venue for the Capital Governorate and other governorates, said the BNA report.

Reiterating the keenness of the Minister of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Essam bin Abdulla Khalaf in developing service and entertainment projects, Dr Fateh said work on the second phase of the project would start, pending completion of the final engineering plans.
