Abu Dhabi hotel revenues up 13.8pc in Sept

ABU DHABI, December 12, 2017

Hotel stay revenues in Abu Dhabi rose by 13.8 per cent in September as compared to August, according to figures released by the Statistics Centre- Abu Dhabi.

There are more than 163 hotel establishments in Abu Dhabi, including hotels, resorts and serviced apartments, reported Emirates news agency Wam, citing the Department of Culture and Tourism- Abu Dhabi statistics.

The growth in revenues is attributable to a 5.8 per cent increase in hotel establishments' accommodation prices in the capital during the month of September as compared to the preceding month, while serviced apartments' accommodation costs were up 1 per cent during the same monitored period.

According to the Annual Hotel Price General Index, hotel stay costs went down in September 2017 by 17.6 per cent against the corresponding period in 2016.
