Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower) has announced that it has signed an agreement to connect its services to the Address Hotel at JBR, Marsa Dubai, offering a total capacity of 6,500 refrigeration tonnes (RT).

Empower said it will start delivering its district cooling services from July 2019.

CEO Ahmad bin Shafar said the company was committed to providing highly-efficient district cooling services on par with the highest international standards and best practices.

"This supports Dubai’s pioneering role in reducing carbon emissions. We also provide district cooling services to a number of prestigious projects in Dubai, including several projects in the hospitality sector," he added.

According to him, Empower supplies district cooling to approximately 17 per cent of more than 674 hotels in Dubai.

Utilising the company's district cooling systems has resulted in huge energy savings for the booming hotel industry in Dubai - further reaffirming Empower's industry dominance and leading reputation in providing reliable technical solutions, he added.-TradeArabia News Service
