RAK Tourism launches new shuttle bus for visitors

RAS AL KHAIMAH, July 4, 2018

Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA) has launched a new shuttle service to help visitors easily access key tourist destinations.

Operating from Ras Al Khaimah City Centre and the Al Hamra / Al Marjan Island area to Jebel Jais, the shuttle will make the world’s longest zipline and the viewing deck park even more accessible for tourists.

The launch of the shuttle service will also aid tour operators from key international source markets bringing holidaymakers to the destination to experience the emirate’s adventure tourism offer.

With the average temperature 10 degrees cooler in the mountains, the UAE summer is an opportune time to enjoy Jebel Jais Mountain. Featuring Jebel Jais Flight, officially the world’s longest zipline at 2.83km and a viewing deck park complete with observation points and food trucks, this is a day trip not to be missed.

Recently opened at the viewing deck park is the new Puro Express, a mountain top version of Puro Restaurant, the emirate’s first rooftop lounge overlooking the stunning coastline. Featuring a light bite menu of pastries, pizza and salad, Puro Express is the ideal snack stop and is open daily from 11am to 8pm on weekdays and 9am to 8pm on weekends.

Haitham Mattar, CEO of RAKTDA, said: “The introduction of the Jebel Jais Shuttle service is a testament to our constant efforts to make our visitors trip to Ras Al Khaimah a memorable one. The new shuttle service will ensure a relaxing drive for our visitors to our key tourist destinations in the emirate."

Tickets for the shuttle service can be booked online at www.jebeljais.ae/shuttlebus. The shuttle route will operate three coaches daily covering all the main hotels in Ras Al Khaimah for an inaugural offer of Dh20 ($5.4) one way. - TradeArabia News Service
