Gulf Air officials meet with Al Hurr members

MANAMA, August 31, 2018

Zayed R. Alzayani, Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism and Gulf Air’s chairman recently met with Yaqoob Yousif, chairman of Bahrain Free Labour Unions Federation (Al Hurr) to discuss matters related to labour issues.

Attending the meeting were Gulf Air's chief executive officer, Krešimir Kučko and a number of representatives from the airline and the National Labour Union of Gulf Air.

During the meeting, Alzayani praised the role and work of Bahrain Free Labour Unions Federation in Bahrain, specifically their efforts to develop cooperation and close ties across various sectors with the greater goal of creating a stable working environment that will operate in the interests of employers and workers. The meeting was an important platform for Gulf Air to reiterate its longstanding support of the federation and the close collaboration to achieve Bahrain’s vision and strategies in this regard.

Gulf Air is in the midst of a #YearOfChange which sees the airline receive five Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners and one Airbus A320neo aircraft in 2018. Gulf Air’s new and highly anticipated fleet entry, the airline’s Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, serves Gulf Air’s double daily London Heathrow service, offering increased capacity and enhanced, superior onboard products and services.

The national carrier’s incoming aircraft orders will ensure it maintains one of the youngest fleets in the region while building upon its award-winning reliability, on-time performance and product and service standards. - TradeArabia News Service
