Oman's Ministry of Tourism (MoT) is hosting mobile promotional workshops during a five-city roadshow, which commenced on Sunday, beginning with Qatar’s capital Doha, said a report.

The workshops, set to take place in Kuwait, Jeddah, Riyadh and Dubai as well, will see the participation of Omani tourism companies including Oman Air and SalamAir, a report in Muscat Daily said.

The ministry has coordinated with its representative offices to invite about 100 tourist companies and institutions, in addition to the local media in the host countries. Introductory and promotional presentations will be made about tourism potential, services and products in the sultanate, besides conducting direct meetings between the invitees from the host countries and participants from Oman.

In addition to promotional offers from the 16 participating companies, preparations are ongoing for the signing of contracts between Omani tourism companies and their Gulf counterparts, the report said.
