HMH exits Coral Dubai Al Barsha management deal

DUBAI, December 24, 2018

Dubai-based Hospitality Management Holdings (HMH) has announced that it no longer manages the Coral Dubai Al Barsha, effective December 20.

Brett Schafer, chief executive officer of Faisal Holding (which owns HMH together with Manafa), commented: “This is a mutual decision reached between HMH and the owner of the property due to the owner’s amendment of their asset management strategy from a Management Agreement to a Lease Agreement format."

"Both parties are working closely towards a seamless and quick transition. I would like to equally thank the owner for giving us the opportunity for managing this property, as well as HMH and the team at the Coral Al Barsha Hotel who have made this journey a success, and of course our loyal visitors who have stayed with us,” stated Schafer.

Aboudi Asali, chief executive officer – HMH, added: “We value our partnership with the owner and have reached a common decision to discontinue the management operations of Coral Dubai Al Barsha from December 20 and we are always more than happy to support. HMH is equally expanding its portfolio while investing across the region, with 5 new properties being launched in 2019 in various destinations across the Middle East and North Africa.”

HMH recently announced the expansion of its offering through its first budget hotel under the ECOS Hotels brand. The 321-room property is located in Al Furjan Community and is scheduled to serve guests visiting Dubai for the Expo 2020.

Currently, HMH’s pipeline includes 19 hotels under various stages that represent HMH’s five brands across its regional footprint. - TradeArabia News Service
