Dusit to highlight MEA expansion at ATM

DUBAI, April 23, 2019

Dusit International, one of Thailand’s leading hotel and property development companies, will showcase its fast-growing portfolio of international properties at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre from April 28 to May 1.

Aiming to build on its current collection of 31 hotels and resorts located across 10 countries, Dusit International is in a growth phase and has set a target of reaching 150 operating and pipeline hotels by 2022.

This includes opening at least 10-12 hotels annually with a focus on achieving scale in the Philippines, Vietnam, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Oman and the UAE, as well as other key APAC and EMEA markets.

During the event, Dusit executives will share details about the recently opened dusitD2 Davao, Philippines, Dusit Thani Mactan Cebu, Philippines, Dusit Princess Residences Dubai Marina, as well as upcoming properties in the GCC, Africa and Asia.

Representatives from Dusit’s existing portfolio of properties in MEA, including Dusit Thani Dubai, Dusit Thani Abu Dhabi, Dusit Thani LakeView Cairo, and dusitD2 Nairobi, and various Dusit Hotels & Resorts worldwide, will also be on hand to explain more about their properties and Dusit’s unique brand of Thai-inspired, gracious hospitality.

“As the leading travel and tourism fair in the Middle East, ATM is one of the most important events on the Dusit calendar, and we are delighted to showcase our various brands and services to visitors at the event,” said Suphajee Suthumpun, Group CEO, Dusit International. “Our 70 years of hotel management experience, coupled with our distinctive brand of Thai-inspired gracious hospitality, makes our products unique. And we look forward to showing our current line-up of hotels as well as explaining more about our exciting developments to come.”

In line with Dusit’s strategy to double its number of hotel rooms in operation and widen its global footprint, the company also aims to address the ever-changing tastes of guests by providing broadened experiences for its customers by entering new markets of the lodging spectrum.

In 2018, Dusit officially entered the luxury vacation rental sector with the full acquisition of Elite Havens, the leading provider of high-end vacation rentals in Asia, which brought a network of more than 200 fully staffed luxury villas across Indonesia, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Japan, and the Maldives, into its portfolio. Also, in April 2018 the group introduced ASAI Hotels, an affordable lifestyle brand designed to link the fast-growing market of millennial-minded travellers with authentic local experiences in the world’s most vibrant neighbourhoods. The first ASAI-branded hotel is slated to open in Bangkok at the end of 2019.
