Preferred Hotels & Resorts welcomes 25 new member hotels

LONDON, April 25, 2019

Preferred Hotels & Resorts has announced the addition of 25 new member hotels to its global portfolio between January 1 and March 31.

From iconic heritage buildings in the cosmopolitan cities of Sydney and London to contemporary beachfront luxury in New Jersey, these exciting new properties deliver authentic, one-of-a-kind experiences that embody the spirit of independent travel.

New member highlights include:

The Fullerton Hotel Sydney (Sydney, Australia)
Situated in the heart of Sydney’s Central Business District on Martin Place, The Fullerton Hotel Sydney resides in the city’s landmark Victorian-era General Post Office building. Set to launch in October, the luxury hotel will feature 416 elegant guestrooms and suites, replete with carefully curated art pieces. Guests will be able to enjoy heritage walking tours that reveal the building’s origins and its connection to the history and culture of the surrounding area. Visitors will also benefit from the hotel’s location to partake in memorable activities such as an exhilarating ascent on the Harbour Bridge Climb for 360-degree panoramas, a show at the Sydney Opera House or zipping through the city on a motorcycle sidecar tour.

Sea Containers London (London, UK)
Located on the South Bank of the River Thames, a stone’s throw from world-famous landmarks including the Tate Modern, Royal Festival Hall, and the London Eye, this 359-room hotel captures the imagination with its unique maritime design exemplified by a copper-clad exterior wall evoking the hull of a 1920s cruise ship. Guestrooms are outfitted with retro-futuristic furniture and custom amenities from award-winning British designer Tom Dixon. Sea Containers London offers three ‘drink, dine, and dance’ options including Lyaness - an exciting new bar concept created by world-renowned bartender Ryan Chetiyawardana, a deluxe spa, and its very own intimate 56-seat cinema.

Wave Resort (New Jersey, US)
Opening in May, Wave Resort is a spectacular beachfront resort that will offer 67 airy deluxe rooms with lounge areas and private walk-out terraces. Other standout facilities include an outdoor pool deck with swim-up cocktail bar, rooftop lounge, onsite spa with blow bar salon, state-of-the-art fitness centre, five exciting dining outlets, loft event space with floor-to-ceiling windows framing panoramic ocean views, and a mobile concierge team that can help guests enjoy pampering experiences on the beach. Located in the heart of the award-winning Pier Village, guests can take a bike ride down to the newly renovated Long Branch Boardwalk or visit more than 30 independent shops and restaurants including The New Jersey Repertory Company where they can catch an evening play.

The Hotel Kitano Tokyo (Tokyo, Japan)
One of the rare luxury boutique hotels in Japan, The Kitano Hotel Tokyo is an intimate family-owned property that embodies the Japanese spirit of “wa” (harmony) through its 72 thoughtfully appointed guestrooms and refined service style. Recently re-opened after an extensive refurbishment, the hotel now houses two restaurants including the three-Michelin Star Sant Pau, a rooftop bar with panoramic skyline views, and the Tea Lounge which will offer Japanese matcha (green tea) services. Located in central Tokyo, the hotel is steps away from the Imperial Palace and the National Theatre, which is considered to be the heart of traditional Japanese Arts, as well as endless shopping, dining, and entertainment options.

Narcissus Hotel & Residences (Riyadh, Saudi Arabia)
This award-winning luxury hotel offers 280 private apartment-style rooms and suites that blend classic opulent elegance with contemporary comfort, three exquisite restaurants including a rooftop restaurant specialising in authentic Argentinian-style grilled meats, and a destination spa. Situated in the heart of downtown Riyadh, Narcissus Hotel & Residences is perfectly located for a discovery of the capital city’s magnificent architectural beauty, rich culture and fascinating heritage with nearby attractions including Al Bujairi Heritage Park, the National Museum, and the King Centre Tower. For guests who are looking for retail therapy, the hotel is a few minutes’ drive from five major shopping malls.

Hotel Henri (New York, US)
Just steps from Madison Square Park, the iconic Empire State, and Flatiron Buildings, as well as some of New York City’s top-rated restaurants and bars, Hotel Henri is the ideal lodging choice for travellers seeking a theatrical experience in the Big Apple. The newly independent hotel’s 118 guestrooms feature design touches that evoke the backstage ambience of a Broadway theatre, with stylish lighting and graffiti-inspired artwork. Dining at Hotel Henri includes the contemporary, Mediterranean-inspired fine-dining restaurant Rodos, as well as a Prohibition-style rooftop bar Sir Henri that serves up artisanal cocktails alongside breathtaking views of the city.
