Adnec gears up for busy events season

ABU DHABI, August 27, 2019

The Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center, the emirate’s premier event venue, and Al Ain Conventions Center (AACC) are gearing up to host world-class exhibitions, conferences and events in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.

Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Group CEO of Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (Adnec), said: “Building on the success we achieved in hosting several top international exhibitions and conferences during the first half of 2019, all our facilities are geared towards catering to the requirements of the upcoming events and exceeding the organiser expectations. As Adnec pursues a strategy that focuses on diversifying its event portfolio, the continued readiness of our facilities and offerings is a matter of paramount importance for Adnec to keep up with the evolving needs of the industry and increasing number of events and visitors during one of the busiest seasons in our calendar.”

Some of the leading events Adnec will host in the second half of 2019 include the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition 2019 (ADIHEX 2019) that will run from August 27 to 31.

From establishing itself as the only dedicated event in the region for its hunting and equestrian community, ADIHEX is transforming itself into an iconic global platform bringing together thousands of local and international end users, traders, high-net-worth individuals and dignitaries from around the world to share strategies and challenges on cultural heritage preservation.

From September 2 to 4, Adnec will host the EuroTier Middle East, one of the world’s largest trade fair for animal farming and production. The event serves as the ideal platform for agricultural businesses to enter a growing livestock market and take advantage of the opportunity to help shape the future of animal production in the Middle East. The show will bring together farmers, businesses, experts and various governments under one roof, leveraging a global platform to respond to local and regional needs.

The 24th World Energy Congress under the theme Energy for Prosperity will be held from September 9 to 12, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE. The much-anticipated event will bring together international energy stakeholders, governments, private and public corporations, as well as academia. The congress, which will cover a space of 40,000-sq-m, is set to attract more than prominent speakers, ministers and CEOs.

Adnec will also host the CPhI Middle East and Africa 2019 exhibition from September 16 to 18. Widely considered the region’s most comprehensive pharma gathering, the event will convene key pharma suppliers and buyers, and stage a wide range of exhibitions from across the entire pharma supply chain.

For the first time in the Middle East, Adnec will welcome the World of Nickelodeon from 19 to 21 September. The event will consist of a series of activations for kids and their families, where children can interact with all their favourite Nickelodeon characters and experience the real world of Nickelodeon.

The venue will also host Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards on 20 September, the most popular awards ceremony show produced by Nickelodeon, dedicated to kids around the world. Landing for the first time ever in Abu Dhabi, the show will celebrate Arab and International artists, across multiple categories.

Meanwhile, the 79th FIP World Congress of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences will run at Adnec from September 22 to 26. The conference invites pharmaceutical scientists, researchers, practitioners, educators, students and other stakeholders from around the world to discuss challenges and solutions faced by the health and pharmaceutical industry.

Heritage Middle East, which is set to take place from September 30 to October 2, will be the meeting point for thousands of attendees, including 100 institutions and companies that lead the museology sector around the world. During the event, leading museologists, museum designers, architects, art historians, conservators and art professionals will come together and discuss artistic and cultural activities around the Arab world, as well as reveal future global projects.

Adnec will host the 26th World Road Congress, Under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, from October 6 to 10. The conference, which is a defining voice for the road infrastructure and transport industry, will welcome delegates and exhibitors representing more than 120 nations.

The second edition of the Abu Dhabi International Boat Show (ADIBS 2019) is set to take place from October 16 to 19 at the magnificent Adnec Marina waterfront. ADIBS 2019 is the largest gathering of leisure boats and watersports in the UAE capital, and will provide a world-class platform for local and international companies from the leisure marine industry to showcase and demonstrate their latest products and services.

From October 24 to 26, Adnec is set to draw crowds of gaming enthusiasts to Abu Dhabi for the Middle East Games Con, an event that continues to play a defining role in promoting the gaming culture in the region. The show will include gaming workshops, an indie developer showcase, university gaming courses, a game design gallery, anime and authentic Japanese entertainment, product launches, glimpses into limited edition products and an action-packed ZOOM Entertainment Stage.

Taking place from October 24 to 26, IB Global Conference, the largest annual gathering of the International Baccalaureate community, will draw participants and educators from across the globe. To be held in the Middle East for the first time, the show will focus on ways to continue the IB community’s contribution to the education sector in the UAE.

The International Real Estate and Investment Show 2019 (IREIS 2019), set to run at Adnec from October 30 to November 1, targets real estate investors and consumers. IREIS 2019 will provide visitors from around the world with leading market insights and offer a snapshot of the international property market.

From October 30 to November 1, Adnec will host Najah, the UAE’s leading higher education event. The much-anticipated event will convene representatives from more than 150 local and international universities and higher education institutions, including the UAE, USA, UK, France, Japan, Canada, Hungary, Lebanon, Bahrain, Egypt, Netherlands and Jordan.

Set to welcome high school students, teachers, parents and graduate students seeking postgraduate studies, the event will showcase the latest technology courses and programmes, including artificial intelligence, automation, robotics and engineering, among others.
 
From December 9 to 11, Adnec will host the 10th anniversary edition of SIAL Middle East, Abu Dhabi’s leading annual food, beverage and hospitality event. Over the years, SIAL Middle East has grown to attract more than 1,000 exhibitors from 45 countries, 30 national pavilions and thousands of visitors from all over the world.
 
Al Ain Convention Centre (AACC) will also be hosting important events in the second half of 2019, including the Emirates Small and Medium Enterprise Exhibition, which will be held from 3 to 4 September. The event, which is organised by the UAE Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry in association with the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, will highlight vital investment opportunities in the SME sector.
 
AACC will also be hosting the 11th edition of the Al Ain Book Fair (AABF) from September 24 to October 3. The 10-day event will welcome various local publishing houses and cultural institutions, with the aim to display a selection of Emirati titles and authors, explore their creative experiences, and offer a showcase to their intellect and cultural contribution. The AABF will feature daily book signings of publications by UAE-based intellectual and creative figures. The event, which offers free admission, will also allow visitors to meet and converse with authors.
 
The Arabian Style Exhibition in Al-Ain City (ARABEX) will be held from November 5 to 9 at AACC. The event will bring together arts and handcrafts, as well as colourful cuisines from various Arabic countries. The exhibition will also provide importers, manufacturers and leading trade figures the opportunity to learn about the latest trends in the Middle East markets and help exchange market information, as well as learn about the latest innovations from leading experts. - TradeArabia News Service
