Flag carrier Royal Jordanian (RJ) scored 89.2 per cent in on-time performance for the month of November, which made it the second most punctual Middle Eastern airline in OAG’s monthly on-time performance report published recently.
 
The report said that RJ had a great performance in November, when it registered 10.7 per cent improvement over the compared month in 2018. RJ ranked 27th out of 162 global airlines, rising 52 positions above last year.

On-time is calculated as a percentage of flights that depart or arrive within 15 minutes of schedule. For the report, OAG took into consideration 80 per cent of the scheduled flights in November; RJ's performance was measured based on 2,556 flights.  

OAG had awarded RJ a three-star rating for punctuality in the On-Time Performance Star Rating for the world’s airlines and airports last September. RJ scored an annual punctuality rate of 74.7 per cent between June 2018 and May 2019.

RJ president/CEO Stefan Pichler said: “RJ has been scoring high in on-time performance in the past months. This time is the highest we achieved so far. Our operations ran smoothly in November and we will continue to work at this level to ensure that our passengers enjoy the best travel experience with minimal delays."
