ME Dubai to open in February

DUBAI, December 15, 2019

ME Dubai, the much-awaited hotel to launch in the UAE, is preparing to open its doors in February 2020.

Situated in the heart of the Burj Khalifa District, ME Dubai is the first ME by Meliá hotel in the Middle East, and in keeping with the personality-led ethos of the brand, is set to become the social epicentre of Dubai’s dynamic cultural scene.

Bringing an elevated approach to contemporary culture, ME Dubai will reflect the spirit of the most fashionable parts of the European scene in the UAE.

With properties located in cultural capitals around the world, ME by Meliá creates a unique connection with the communities in which it operates. ME Dubai will act as a platform for contemporary Middle Eastern culture, bringing together music, art, design, fashion and gastronomy in curated experiences that celebrate the latest trends, events and scene leaders shaping the local cultural landscape.

ME by Meliá is for stylish urbanites interested in enriching, luxury experiences and uncompromising service, and ME Dubai is no exception. Every guest’s stay includes personalised touches and unexpected moments that go well beyond the ordinary thanks to the hotel’s Aura manager whose job it is to know Dubai inside-out across the spectrum of food, events, secret hotspots, fashion and the latest in cultural trends across the emirate. The Aura teams speak to guests as individuals, they understand their lifestyle to provide a tailor-made stay which includes a true taste of their destination.

The five-star Dubai property is the only hotel in the world to be fully designed both inside and out by the late Zaha Hadid, and is located in her mesmerising The Opus development by Omniyat. Hadid's legacy lives on through a range of unparalleled detail and bespoke furniture throughout the hotel. Ground-breaking architecture and mesmerising interiors showcase ME’s desire to challenge perceptions and reward curiosity with sensory fulfilment through art and design.

Boasting 74 rooms and 19 suites (including the Passion Suite, Personality Suite, the Vibe Room and the legendary ultra-luxurious ‘ME Suite’), the hotel also includes 96 serviced apartments across three floors of expressive Hadid design. In addition to three ME Dubai owned F&B outlets, The Opus will offer guests a choice of 15 restaurants, including the first Roka restaurant in the region, a stylish contemporary Japanese robatayaki concept from London. The spectacular lobby area of the hotel is the literal epicentre of the hotel, and will both welcome and inspire in its design, décor and calendar of cultural happenings.

The spacious pool and wet deck overlooking the Dubai skyline, as well as a state-of-the-art gym, and luxurious spa, will enable guests to indulge in perfect ‘ME time’, while the largest nightclub space in Dubai will provide a sophisticated setting to see and be seen in Dubai.

Stefan Viard, general manager of ME Dubai, said: "ME Dubai brings a new dimension to Dubai that will delight status seekers, culturalists and the creative elite across visitors and residents alike. The new property will act as a cultural epicentre for those looking for a personalised approach, unforgettable experiences, unparalleled gastronomy and exceptional service. An integral part of the brand will be to add a personal touch to all experiences, going above-and-beyond the average concierge service. To be putting the final touches to our much anticipated offering and watching the mesmerising Zaha Hadid vision come to life is exciting, and we looking forward to marking a new decade by welcoming guests to ME Dubai." - TradeArabia News Service
