SHARJAH, December 1, 2020

Sharjah Museums Authority (SMA) is celebrating the UAE’s 49th National Day and Commemoration Day with free entry to its museums on December 1 and 2.

With its efforts in facilitating accessibility, bringing people together and creating spaces dedicated to people’s love for history, arts and culture, entry fees to SMA’s 16 museums will be waved on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Expats, locals, and tourists alike can immerse themselves in the history of the UAE and the region with thousands of unique collections on display at SMA’s different and diverse museums that cater to all interests.

From ancient archaeological findings and Islamic civilization treasures, to airplanes and classic cars, Sharjah museums have proven to be an ideal destination for all community members to enjoy and learn.

Visitors have the opportunity to experience SMA’s ongoing exhibitions, including Ethiopian photographer Aida Muluneh’s "Homebound: A Journey in Photography”, the ‘A Century in Flux Highlights from the Barjeel Art Foundation – Chapter II’ exhibition, Sharjah Art Museum's Modern and Contemporary Arab Art Collection exhibition and the Fairytales Come True: Worlds From the Imagination of Hans Christian Andersen exhibition.

All members of the public are urged to follow health and safety precautions that have been put in place at SMA museums to limit the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic. - TradeArabia News Service
