Bahrain's new airport terminal work on track for Q2 2022 completion

More than 50 per cent of the work has been completed in the final phase of the new passenger terminal at the Bahrain International Airport (BIA) and is on track to be ready in the second quarter of 2022, said Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications and Bahrain Airport Company (BAC) Chairman Engineer Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed.
 
Kamal Mohammed was speaking to the media after a inspection tour of the project coming up at the western section of the terminal along with the representatives from the project consultant, Hill International, the contractor, and several BAC officials.
 
He praised the efforts of everyone involved and emphasised the importance of maintaining the current pace of work to complete the project on time.
 
The minister and the delegation were later briefed on the progress of the latest phase, which began in February, said the statement from BAC.
 
Phase Two of the project involves the construction of two departure gates, six air bridges and bus departure gates, it added.-TradeArabia News Service
