Danube Building Materials, a leader in construction, building materials and shop fitting industries, has announced the opening of its fourth showroom in Muscat.

The new Danube showroom measures at around 45,000 sq ft, the newly opened branch showcases the latest collection of luxury sanitaryware, ceramic tiles, chandeliers, wallpapers, lawn & garden accessories, hardware, home decor & range of other building materials.

A recent report from Ventures, a leading international business research and intelligence firm, states that mixed use, airports and hotel buildings are the three most active sectors in the Oman, with mixed use making up 30 per cent of the total budgets.

Oman’s construction industry is forecasted to grow at a compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of 5.8 per cent starting from 2010 to 2014, with the government being projected to spend around $10 billion on construction and infrastructure, which are to be completed by 2015.

“Oman’s construction and building segment is strongly emerging as one of the most active in the region, which is ably demonstrated in the presence of major projects across the Sultanate,” Rizwan Sajan, founder and chairman, Danube.
