Trevipak expects 16pc growth

Trevipak, the brand name of Triveni Packaging Co Ltd, part of Triveni Group of Companies, expects its 2008 revenues to be Dh17.5 million ($4.7 million) in its year-end reporting, a 16 per cent increase compared to Dh15 million in 2007.

Trevipak is the industry leader in packaging machinery and material supplier in the Middle East.

The growth of the food and beverage industry and the establishment of various free zones and industrial parks - the UAE Free Zones are home to more than 4000 companies - have played an instrumental role in attracting manufacturing industries which have made packaging companies such as Trevipak crucial to the industry, said an official spokesman.

IMES, a leading firm of international consultants forecasts that the UAE alone is expecting 15 to 20 per cent annual increases in packaging categories such as dairy, soft drinks and flexible packaging.

“The Middle East is one of the fastest growing markets in the world for packaging industry fuelled both by an increase in the consumer spending and the increase in exports of empty packaging materials,” said general manager of Trevipak Manoharan K.

“Over the last 15 years, we have worked closely with many companies in the gulf region and provided them with the most innovative packaging solutions. Till now, we have sold more than 4,738 packaging machines, and will continuing selling many more machines in the years to come; Trevipak is a total packaging solution provider.”

Established in 1993, Trevipak has the largest showrooms for packaging machinery in the UAE. Since establishment the company objective was and still is to bring the latest packaging technology to provide an increasing range of innovative quality products to consumers throughout the Middle East region.
