Emirates Extrusions Factory (EEF) has attained the ‘Jotun PE-SDF Approved Applicator’ certification.

EEF, a subsidiary of M’Sharie, the private equity arm of Dubai Investments, was honoured, following a thorough assessment of EEF’s powder-coating systems, the company said in a statement. EEF is already an ISO 9001:2000 certified company.

Since its establishment in 1993, Emirates Extrusions Factory has grown to be one of the Middle East’s market leaders in the development, commercialisation and production of high quality aluminum systems for architectural and non-architectural applications, it added.

The company is a recipient of the Ajman Industrial Excellence 2006 Silver Award.

“We are immensely pleased to be recipients of this coveted certification,” said EEF managing director Khalfan Al Suwaidi.

Similar to the requirements of the Qualicoat certification, Jotun has implemented an SDF certification to ensure that the application of its powder coatings is being carried out to the highest quality standards.

A series of audits conducted by the Jotun technical team confirmed that EEF completely satisfies all the requirements of the Jotun SDF certification.

The certification will allow EEF to be listed among the ranks of Jotun’s ‘Approved Applicators’, which in turn is widely circulated to architects, consultants, traders and fabricators across the UAE.

Aimed at further enhancing the quality of its anodized and powder coated profiles, EEF has recently carried out several modifications in its powder coating plant and laboratory. It recently introduced a new water treatment line with a quality less than 20 milligram (mg) per litre, ideal for anodising, powder coating and pressing of aluminum profiles.

“This milestone has brought us one step closer towards our aim of attaining Qualicoat certification. We will continue to invest in the latest technology and adopt new processes that enhance the quality of our products.”
