New school opens in Dubai Investments Park
Dubai:

Al-Worood School, a new international school, has opened in the Dubai Investments Park (DIP), following efforts to create a world-class education zone in the Park.

Part of the UAE-based Al-Worood Academy, Al-Worood School is the seventh international school to be located in DIP, the Middle East’s largest business and residential community.

“The opening of the new school is a continuation of DIP’s initiative to provide quality educational opportunities to residents of Dubai,” said Omar Al Mesmar, general manager of Dubai Investments Park.

“At DIP, our focus is on creating a self-sustaining community by providing for all aspects and requirements of a flourishing society. From restaurants and shopping complexes to schools and medical clinics, DIP provides its residents with every social and leisure facility to help them lead a comfortable community lifestyle. The new school reinforces our efforts in this direction,” he added.

Al-Worood School will offer high academic standards in an international setting for children from kindergarten through Grade 3. With a campus spread over an area of 25,000 sqm, the school offers several facilities such as outdoor playground, indoor gym and swimming pool.

“Al-Worood School will offer quality elementary education based on a well-balanced curriculum, and will provide students an outstanding learning environment,” stated Dr Mona Al Ansari, vice president of Al-Worood Academy.

Commenting on the decision to locate the school in Dubai Investments Park, Dr Ansari said, “DIP’s excellent infrastructure and facilities make it an ideal location for the new school. Our decision was also influenced by the fact that the Park comprises a growing residential population, who seek easy access to quality education for their children.”

A subsidiary of Dubai Investments, Dubai Investments Park is the largest mixed-use development in the UAE, hosting more than 1,200 companies. Spread across an area of 32 million sqm, the Park is a self-sustaining city within a city consisting of specially developed industrial, commercial, residential and education zones.-TradeArabia News Service
