UAE inks $83m power station contracts
Dubai

The Federal Authority of Electricity and Water (Fewa), UAE, has signed Dh304 million ($83 million) contracts with Al Jaber Transport & Contracting Company for installation of electricity distribution stations in the Northern Emirates, said a report.

Mohammed Mohammed Saleh, director general of the Fewa and Obeid Khalifa Al Jaber, chairman of Al Jaber Transport & Contracting Company signed two contracts in this connection, the Emirates news agency Wam reported.

As per the deal, Al Jaber will design, supply, installation and delivery of electricity distribution stations 33/11 kV in Ras Al Khaimah, Sharjah and Ajman, Umm Al Quwain and Fujairah in addition to the expansion of a number of existing stations across Northern Emirates.

Upon completion these stations will raise the capacity of the power distribution to meet the growing energy needs in different regions of the Northern Emirates.
