Fourteen-year-old technology prodigy Tanmay Bakshi will join more than 3,000 global business leaders from 110 countries taking part in the upcoming International Internal Audit Conference in Dubai, UAE in May.

The event, which will also feature more than 100 global speakers in over 70 sessions, will be held under the theme "Connecting the World Through Innovation" at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre from May 6 to 9.

The conference is organised by the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), along with the UAE Internal Auditors Association (IAA) and sponsored by Protiviti (Diamond Sponsor), Dubai Customs (Gold Sponsor) and Grant Thornton, KPMG, RSM and Wolters Kluwer (Silver Sponsors).

Bakshi, who will be a global speaker at the event, said Dubai is an excellent Innovation Facilitator, with initiatives like the one to train a million coders, Dubai Expo 2020, and so much more.

In a special message sent to the organisers of the conference he said: “Dubai is ahead in trying to bring coding to the youth as early a stage as possible, and this is crucial. In the future, if we want the growth of technologies like Artificial Intelligence to be sustained, we need these kinds of initiatives. A more significant amount of the population should get into tech like Data Science & AI.”

Audience at the conference will be treated with an insightful presentation by Bakshi in a session titled “Open Source Development: Information Security and Technology Auditing.”
    
“This is to give a clear understanding of the cases in which AI is truly applicable. In order to demonstrate this, I will be talking about a few of my projects in the fields of security, cyber-security and auditing,” he said in the message.

When asked about how the internal auditing profession can benefit from Artificial Intelligence and innovation, Bakshi said: “The point of AI, whether it's working in auditing, or any other field, is to strip away the mundane tasks that humans are asked to do. Auditing is a perfect example of this. Let's just say you're trying to track a company's inventory. As a human, or even as a team of humans, this task could be very expensive and time consuming. However, using technologies like Computer Vision and IoT, this process becomes streamlined with almost no room for error.”
 
Bakshi is an Artificial Intelligence developer, algorithmist, keynote speaker, author, and YouTuber. The annual conference is considered the largest gathering of internal auditors in the world.
