Chief Executive Officer of Ebdaa Bank for Microfinance, Bahrain Dr Khaled Walid Al-Ghzawi has expressed the bank’s pride in Forbes ranking the bank’s chairman Mrs Mona Almoayyed fourth on the elite list of 20 women heading family business in the Middle East.
Mrs Almoayyed is the managing director of Y.K. Almoayyed & Sons Group.
The Forbes recognition further motivates the bank's executive staff to develop performance and improve productivity in line with the directives of the board of directors and achieve the strategic objectives of the bank, Dr Al Ghzawi said.
Dr Al-Ghzawi continued: “Mrs Almoayyed maintains her rank on the Forbes list not only due to her exceptional economic and commercial capabilities, but also due to her social responsibility activities. In addition, she has established and chairs many associations and charities.
“Since Mrs Almoayyed took over the chairmanship of Ebdaa Bank, the bank has taken qualitative steps in its performance and upgraded its services to micro-entrepreneurs. The bank has increased the number of its beneficiaries by almost 100%, bringing the number of borrowers to more than 2,900, mostly youth and women,” said Dr Al-Ghzawi.
