Bahrain-based Investcorp, a leading global provider and manager of alternative investment products, said that it has launched a new platform dedicated to investing in high-quality Chinese healthcare companies.
As part of this initiative, Investcorp has acquired minority equity stakes in Lu Daopei Medical Group and WeDoctor. Terms of the transactions were not disclosed.
The new platform advances Investcorp’s Asia growth strategy and aims to create a highly curated portfolio of primary and secondary stakes in sector leading Chinese healthcare companies that have remained resilient through the pandemic and are expected to experience accelerated growth in the post-pandemic world.
