Bahrain Housing Ministry to offer more e-services

Bahrain's Housing Minister Bassim bin Yacub Al-Hamar said that all services requiring the citizens to report to the Housing Ministry will become electronic, which will ensure easy procedures for the customers.

He also said this would help develop the ministry’s database, a Bahrain News Agency report said.

He stressed the ministry’s keenness to constantly develop the work of the Housing Services Directorate and the Customer Service Centre.

He also said that a programme launched by the Ministry of Housing in 2011 to promote the culture of excellence is still continuing and is undergoing periodic development.

During an open meeting with the employees of the Housing Services Directorate, the minister stressed that self-development of the ministry’s staff should go hand in hand with the on-going institutional development, though enhancing practical and communication skills.

He noted that the Housing Ministry seeks to create a positive work environment to increase productivity.

He added that the ultimate goal of the development programmes is to improve the quality of services and increase the efficiency of the ministry’s departments so as to reach a level that would meet the citizens’ aspirations.

The minister revealed that all services requiring the citizens to report to the Housing Ministry will become electronic, which will ensure easy procedures for the customers, on the one hand, and develop the MInistry’s database on the other.

Al-Hamar added that the Housing Ministry will hold training workshop to enhance the practical and communication skills of its personnel, as well as inform them about the best practices and train them on the new programmes to be introduced.
