Bahraini firm makes it to Gitex start-up competition finals

Bahraini group Lumofy has been declared one of the finalists at the Gitex Supernova challenge for the best global start-up technology companies at the ongoing event in Dubai, while another Bahraini company has made it to the semi-final stage of the competition with its Daresni electronic platform.
Both these companies are part of the Bahraini National Pavilion at Gitex, backed by the kingdom's labour fund Tamkeen.
It is a golden opportunity for the Bahrain companies to help boost competitiveness, and develop the business model, especially since Gitex provides a broad view of ICT companies in the world, and the technologies and applications of the fifth generation, artificial intelligence and the Internet of things, as well as the blockchain and other key technologies.
Lumofy is an integrated learning experience platform that encourages organizations to diagnose, engage and track human capital competencies and provide automated and personalized learning experiences that transform learning into a competitive advantage.
The company's founder Ahmed Faraj gave a presentation on the company that provides a holistic learning experience platform with a robust monitoring, gamification, learnification with 1000’s of learning items, Psychometric assessments and content digitization services.
Daresni's Operations and Administration Manager Thanaa Alrabeea too unveiled the project before a panel of arbitrators at Gitex.
The platform aims to facilitate the process of searching for a private tutor for both parents and students for any subject and in various disciplines, and at the same time contributes to providing a reasonable daily and monthly income for teachers and tutors who were considered unemployed.
The ongoing event is helping Bahraini startups benefit from following the activities of Gitex Future Stars, a major event for start-ups technology companies and the world of entrepreneurship, the Future Blockchain Summit, and the Gulf Information Security Exhibition.
In addition to this, the firms have an opportunity to interact with 350 participating delegations and speakers of technical experts who have come to Dubai from 30 countries in a week full of specialized activities at Gitex with the participation of 1,200 companies from 60 countries displaying the latest technology products.-TradeArabia News Service
