Msheireb Downtown Doha concluded its winter season having recorded around 5 million visits between November 2025 and the first week of February.
During this period,
the district hosted a programme of cultural, sporting, family, and
community-focused activities across key locations including Barahat Msheireb,
Sikkat Wadi Msheireb, and Msheireb Museums.
Hotel occupancy across
the district exceeded 95% throughout November, December, and January, marking a
notable year-on-year increase compared with the same period in 2024.
Visitor demand was
supported by a combination of GCC and international travellers, reinforcing
Msheireb’s position as a major hospitality and lifestyle destination in Qatar.
Activity levels
increased in early December alongside the Arab Cup 2025. Baraha Premium Fan
Zone and Sikkat Wadi Msheireb hosted live match screenings and football-related
programming.
Family-focused events
included the second edition of Sweet Sikka at Sahat Al Nakheel and the fourth
edition of Baraha Cinema, which offered outdoor film screenings.
National Day
celebrations in mid-December featured cultural installations and performances
across the district.
In January, Barahat
Msheireb hosted the Baraha Musical Concert, featuring performances by the Al
Jazeera Orchestra and Choir.
Msheireb Museums
welcomed more than 70,000 visitors during the season, hosting exhibitions,
conferences, and educational workshops.
Hosh Msheireb also
attracted visitors with its seasonal glamping-style setup and family reading
activities.
The winter programme
concluded with Art Basel Qatar, held across M7 and Doha Design District until February
7.
The fair featured 87
exhibitors and 84 artists, with a significant representation from the MENASA
region.
Dr Hafiz Ali Abdulla, Senior Director of Corporate Communication at Msheireb Properties, stated: “The close of this winter season is a key success for Msheireb Downtown Doha. By uniting sport, global artistry, and Qatari hospitality, we have shown that our district is a place where every visitor can find a connection. Our objective was to create a people-centric urban environment that celebrates our local identity. The extraordinary participation from across the GCC and beyond shows that Msheireb is the place to be during the winter months.” -TradeArabia News Service
