Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi is expected to propose a three-point framework to strengthen global energy security at G7 Summit, amid growing concerns over oil supply disruptions linked to renewed tensions in the Middle East.

According to a government source cited by Kyodo News, the proposed principles focus on preserving free and transparent energy trade, expanding strategic oil reserves, and enhancing cooperation between energy-producing and energy-consuming nations.

The initiative comes as geopolitical developments in the Middle East heighten concerns over the stability of global energy markets and the security of oil supplies.
