The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has praised Saudi Arabia’s air traffic management performance during recent geopolitical tensions in the region, highlighting the system’s efficiency and resilience.

The association said the Kingdom’s aviation sector maintained seamless air traffic flow and operational continuity while upholding high standards of safety, security, and efficiency.

IATA commended the Saudi Air Navigation Services (SANS) for its strong operational readiness and ability to manage a surge in air traffic without significant disruption.

SANS also received a letter of appreciation and a commemorative plaque in recognition of its efforts.

According to IATA, SANS demonstrated high professionalism in reorganising air routes and ensuring stability across Saudi airspace during challenging conditions.
