John Crane, a global flow control technology company and part of Smiths Group, has appointed Bedour Bubshait as Regional Procurement Manager, making her the first woman to hold a management position within its Saudi Arabian business.

Bubshait  joined John Crane in 2018 in customer service before moving into procurement, building an eight-year career through continuous learning and leadership development.

“Starting in customer service gave me an understanding of our customers and our business that I still rely on today,” she said.

Reflecting on her career challenges, she added: “There were times when I questioned myself. But every challenge taught me something. I learned to stay patient, keep developing and believe that if I continued to work hard, opportunities would come.”
