GAC Group, a leading automobile manufacturer, has reached 30 million cumulative owners worldwide, marking the roll-off of its 30-millionth finished vehicle.
To mark the occasion, GAC Middle East hosted a customer celebration in the UAE led by General Manager Mr. Mark Zhang, recognising the Middle East’s contribution to GAC’s global success.
Since delivering its first vehicle, GAC has grown in step with the mobility of its customers around the world. Over the past years a steady flow of new owners has joined the community, together carrying the milestone past 30 million, the company said.
Attendees at the UAE celebration included an existing owner who had returned to purchase a second vehicle, underscoring the repeat custom and brand loyalty evident across the region. GAC Middle East further recognised the market’s contribution by nominating a UAE customer to attend the official 30 Million Owner’s celebration in Ghanghzou on behalf of the region.
Zhang said: “Reaching 30 million owners is a milestone that belongs to our customers as much as it does to GAC. The Middle East has been part of this journey for more than a decade, and the loyalty we see here reflects the trust our customers place in the brand. Owners returning to buy their second and third GAC vehicles are the clearest measure of the trust we have earned. We are proud that a UAE customer will represent the region in Guangzhou, and we intend to keep repaying that confidence with the quality and after-sales support our owners expect.”
A milestone built on global momentum
In the first half of 2026, exports of GAC's own brands reached 121,500 units, a rise of 132% year-on-year that underlines the international appetite for the brand's products. Every one of GAC's five overseas regions, the Americas, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, Africa and Europe, posted strong growth over the period, it said.
GAC's international business now covers 110 countries and territories, supported by 746 sales and service outlets, six overseas manufacturing plants and nine overseas parts warehouses, a full-value-chain network spanning R&D through to sales. In the Americas, several core models rank among the leaders in their local segments, with monthly sales in markets such as Brazil and Colombia growing severalfold. In Asia-Pacific, GAC held more than 11% of Hong Kong's NEV market between January and May, while sales in Thailand climbed 207% month-on-month in June. In Europe, the brand has established an end-to-end system from local production to retail, steadily rolling out new-energy vehicles across key markets.
A decade of building trust in the Middle East
In the Middle East, where GAC has been building its presence for more than a decade, the brand continues to deepen customer trust through localized operations, an expanding retail and after-sales network, and products tailored to regional needs. In the UAE, long-standing partner Gargash GAC Motor continues to reinforce that presence, recently marked by the opening of the country's largest GAC showroom in Dubai.
Kuwait, where GAC first entered the region with trusted partner Mutawa Alkazi Automotive, remains a key pillar of regional growth, with its position further strengthened by the launch of a flagship showroom. Alongside partners in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, Iraq, Jordan and Lebanon, GAC continues to widen its footprint across the Middle East and to build long-term value for customers throughout the region.
