UAE-based Musafir Holdings has launched JETT, a standalone technology business bringing travel technology solutions to travellers, travel companies and corporates.
Leading the launch is JETT Visa Intelligence, an end-to-end visa booking platform serving passport holders from more than 200 nationalities across more than 120 destinations and the first in the region to integrate the full visa application and processing journey directly into AI assistants through Model Context Protocol (MCP).
The technology means travellers can move from checking eligibility to completing their visa application in one seamless flow, whether they are planning through a consumer channel, a partner travel platform, or an AI-assisted booking experience.
JETT Visa Intelligence uses information including passport nationality, residency and destination to determine relevant visa requirements and options, bringing together eligibility, documentation, pricing, processing information and application guidance.
The technology already powers musafir.com’s live visa operations at scale, providing the operational foundation behind its consumer visa experience.
Visa Intelligence is available through three connected channels. Travellers can access the experience directly through musafir.com’s website and app; travel businesses can integrate visa capabilities into their own customer journeys through JETT’s Visa API; and AI assistants can retrieve visa information through Visa MCP (Model Context Protocol).
Bringing visa intelligence into AI-assisted travel
Visa MCP addresses an emerging gap as more travellers use AI to research and plan trips. An AI assistant may recommend destinations, flights and itineraries, but the journey remains incomplete if it cannot determine whether the traveller can enter a destination or what visa requirements apply.
Through Visa MCP, an AI assistant can retrieve current information from JETT’s visa intelligence layer based on an individual traveller’s circumstances, rather than relying only on information already available to the model. This can include visa requirements and eligibility, visa-free and visa-on-arrival guidance, traveller-specific pricing and processing information, document checklists and destination comparisons.
Visa MCP is compatible with any AI assistant that supports Model Context Protocol. Availability within individual AI platforms is subject to each platform’s own review and approval processes.
Visa intelligence as travel infrastructure
For travel companies, JETT’s B2B Visa API enables online travel agencies, airlines, travel agencies and Travel Management Companies (TMCs) to integrate visa information and services directly into their existing booking and customer journeys. Partners can access visa products, documentation requirements, traveller-specific information and application status while retaining their own brand and customer experience.
For example, an OTA can identify the visa requirements relevant to a traveller following a flight booking and offer the appropriate visa journey within its own customer experience, rather than requiring the traveller to research the process separately.
For consumers, the JETT Visa Platform powering musafir.com supports passport OCR, document guidance, guided applications, family and multi-traveller journeys, payment and application tracking, with updates delivered through the app, WhatsApp and email.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Thani, Chairman and Co-founder of Musafir Holdings, said: “We built this technology to solve challenges we face every day at Musafir. With JETT, we are opening it up to other travel businesses so they can benefit from what we have already built and tested. As more people turn to AI to plan their trips, we want clear, relevant travel and visa information to be part of that experience from the start.”
JETT expands beyond visa technology
Alongside Visa solutions, JETT offers two separate, independently deployable technology solutions for corporate travel and travel agencies. Each is sold and deployed independently, allowing businesses to adopt the technology relevant to their requirements without replacing their existing technology stack.
JETT Corporate Booking Tool (CBT) connects key elements of business travel management, including bookings, travel policies, approvals, payments, expenses and reporting, giving corporates and TMCs greater visibility and control over their travel programmes.
JETT Travel agent platform provides an all-in-one digital ecosystem to search, book, manage, and service flights, hotels, visas, transfers, activities, and other travel products, with integrated payments, reporting, and back-office tools enabling travel agencies to launch, automate, and grow their online business without building or maintaining their own technology infrastructure.
Sachin Gadoya, Co-founder and CEO of Musafir Holdings, said: “The next phase of travel will depend increasingly on connected technology, data and intelligent services. Through JETT, we want to give travel businesses access to capabilities they can adopt and integrate based on their own requirements rather than having to build every layer themselves.”
Musafir Holdings will showcase JETT at Arabian Travel Market 2026 at Dubai World Trade Centre from September 14–17, with Visa Intelligence, AI connectivity and B2B travel technology forming the main focus of discussions with potential partners. – TradeArabia News Service
