Saudi, Welcome to Arabia concluded its participation in the inaugural WTM Spotlight Riyadh, the first event in WTM’s new destination-focused series. Held over three days, the event brought together government representatives, international trade partners and media for meetings and discussions on the future of travel and tourism.
The Saudi, Welcome to
Arabia stand showcased the Kingdom’s diverse tourism offerings, including
cultural and heritage destinations, coastal getaways, luxury hospitality and
emerging adventure experiences. It also hosted business meetings and networking
sessions aimed at strengthening ties with international markets.
The event featured
several partnership announcements, including a strategic agreement between the
Saudi Tourism Authority and Almosafer Activities. The partnership integrates
the platform with the Saudi Partner Tourism Exchange Portal, highlighting continued
cooperation across the travel, tourism and hospitality sectors.
WTM Spotlight Riyadh
also provided international buyers, exhibitors and tourism stakeholders with
insights into the destinations, experiences and infrastructure supporting Saudi
Arabia’s growing visitor economy.
The event highlighted
the Kingdom’s expanding role as a global hub for sports, events and
entertainment, with major international sporting events such as the Six Kings
Slam, WWE Crown Jewel and the Canelo Álvarez vs. Christian Mbilli WBC title
fight expected to further boost Saudi’s international profile.
Abdullah Al Dakhil, the spokesperson for
the Saudi Tourism Authority, said: "WTM Spotlight Riyadh brought the
international travel trade together with Saudi businesses on home ground,
reflecting the country's rising role as a driver of the region's travel
industry. Over the past three days, we've built new relationships, advanced
agreements, and showcased the diversity of experiences now on offer across
Saudi. We look forward to building on these connections as we deepen engagement
with the global travel industry and unlock future visitation."
The participation
supports the Saudi Tourism Authority’s efforts to expand the destination brand
