Saudi, Welcome to Arabia wraps up participation at inaugural WTM Spotlight Riyadh

Saudi, Welcome to Arabia concluded its participation in the inaugural WTM Spotlight Riyadh, the first event in WTM’s new destination-focused series. Held over three days, the event brought together government representatives, international trade partners and media for meetings and discussions on the future of travel and tourism.

The Saudi, Welcome to Arabia stand showcased the Kingdom’s diverse tourism offerings, including cultural and heritage destinations, coastal getaways, luxury hospitality and emerging adventure experiences. It also hosted business meetings and networking sessions aimed at strengthening ties with international markets.

The event featured several partnership announcements, including a strategic agreement between the Saudi Tourism Authority and Almosafer Activities. The partnership integrates the platform with the Saudi Partner Tourism Exchange Portal, highlighting continued cooperation across the travel, tourism and hospitality sectors.

WTM Spotlight Riyadh also provided international buyers, exhibitors and tourism stakeholders with insights into the destinations, experiences and infrastructure supporting Saudi Arabia’s growing visitor economy.

The event highlighted the Kingdom’s expanding role as a global hub for sports, events and entertainment, with major international sporting events such as the Six Kings Slam, WWE Crown Jewel and the Canelo Álvarez vs. Christian Mbilli WBC title fight expected to further boost Saudi’s international profile.

Abdullah Al Dakhil, the spokesperson for the Saudi Tourism Authority, said: "WTM Spotlight Riyadh brought the international travel trade together with Saudi businesses on home ground, reflecting the country's rising role as a driver of the region's travel industry. Over the past three days, we've built new relationships, advanced agreements, and showcased the diversity of experiences now on offer across Saudi. We look forward to building on these connections as we deepen engagement with the global travel industry and unlock future visitation."

The participation supports the Saudi Tourism Authority’s efforts to expand the destination brand globally, strengthen trade engagement and drive future visitation. -TradeArabia News Service
