Parkin Company, the largest provider of paid public parking facilities and services in Dubai, has entered into a partnership with uPay, a UAE-based payment solution provider, to enable Parkin wallet top-ups through uPay’s extensive kiosk network across the country.
The partnership introduces a new payment channel for Parkin customers, allowing users to conveniently top up their wallets using cash through uPay kiosks, while also offering the option to pay by credit card.
The initiative is designed to enhance accessibility and provide greater flexibility for customers who prefer or rely on cash transactions, said a statement from Parkin.
uPay operates a network of more than 1,700 kiosks across the UAE, including around 1,350+ in Dubai, 150+ in Abu Dhabi, 150+ in Sharjah and 50+ in Ajman.
Through this integration, Parkin will effectively expand its payment coverage, enabling customers to access services through a widely distributed and easily accessible physical network, 24/7 and 365 days a year.
The partnership supports Parkin’s customer-centric approach by broadening its payment infrastructure to cater to diverse user preferences.
It also contributes to greater financial inclusion by enabling users to access parking services without reliance on digital banking tools alone. The kiosk-based model also offers a cost-effective mechanism for cash collection, reducing dependence on higher-cost alternatives while improving operational efficiency and overall customer experience, it stated.
On the partnership, Parkin Chief Technology Officer Eng. Talal Alajmi said it is driven by the group's commitment to expand accessibility and convenience across its payment ecosystem.
"The new cash-based-top-up channel, which will be widely available, ensures that all segments of our customers can easily access Parkin services. By integrating uPay’s extensive kiosk network with Parkin’s digital payment infrastructure, we are extending the reach and flexibility of our payment ecosystem through a scalable, technology-enabled solution that strengthens operational efficiency and supports the continued growth of our platform and services across the UAE," he stated.
Umar Dombaev, Chief Executive Officer of uPay, expressed delight at partnership with Parkin in advancing a shared vision of delivering smarter, more accessible payment experiences across the UAE.
"At uPay, we see payments as an enabler of everyday life, and our focus has always been on removing barriers between people and the services they rely on. This collaboration reflects the power of strategic partnerships in creating practical, customer-centric solutions that improve convenience while supporting broader financial inclusion," stated Dombaev. "As the UAE continues to lead the region in digital innovation, we remain committed to working alongside forward-thinking organisations like Parkin to build a more connected and accessible payment ecosystem for everyone," he added.
