Six Senses The Palm, Dubai is set to open on November 23, marking the luxury hospitality brand’s debut in the UAE.
Located on the West
Crescent of Palm Jumeirah, the beachfront resort will feature 61 suites and 172
private residences, combining wellness, contemporary design, dining and
sustainability in one of Dubai’s most recognisable destinations.
Positioned between the
Arabian Gulf and Dubai’s skyline, the property places wellbeing at the centre
of its offering, anchored by a 5,500-square-metre Six Senses Spa and Longevity
Clinic.
Its wider facilities
will include multiple restaurants and bars, leisure spaces, fitness facilities
and experiences designed to connect guests with the local culture and
community.
Neil Palmer, Six
Senses Chief Commercial Officer, said: “Whether it’s an early morning swim or
an unhurried meal, at Six Senses The Palm, Dubai, these moments come naturally,
without losing touch with the energy of the city. As our first property in the UAE,
this is an important chapter for Six Senses, bringing our approach to emotional
hospitality to The Palm in a way that feels unmistakably part of its
surroundings.”
Balance, Escape and
Community
The resort’s concept
is built around three themes: balance, escape and community, reflecting Dubai’s
international character and the connections between residents and visitors.
Guests will be able to
combine physical activity and relaxation through experiences such as padel, ice
baths and sauna rituals, while social gatherings and shared dining will form
part of the wider wellness experience.
Cultural excursions
will include visits to Mleiha’s desert landscape, where visitors can explore
approximately 200,000 years of history, alongside bakhoor workshops introducing
traditional Emirati scents and rituals.
Christian Gurtner,
General Manager of Six Senses The Palm, Dubai, said: “Dubai has an
extraordinary ability to bring people together, and we wanted the resort to
feel like a natural part of that community.
Guests can find space
to pause by the water, while remaining closely connected to the energy and
character of the city, with each detail contributing to a genuine sense of
discovery.
It is a privilege to
open the first Six Senses in the UAE, and I am especially proud of the team we
have brought together and the care they will bring to every stay. We look
forward to welcoming guests and allowing them to experience the resort in their
own way.”
Architecture
Inspired by the UAE
The resort’s
LEED-certified architecture, designed by SAOTA, and interiors by Mitchell &
Eades draw inspiration from coral reefs and the cultural identity of the UAE.
Organic forms and
biophilic materials are incorporated throughout, while traditional majlis
concepts have been reinterpreted through communal gardens and private retreat
spaces.
Design details include
timber-framed ceilings inspired by traditional souks, lighting referencing
pearls from the Gulf and locally developed Datecrete, made using date pits, in
the spa relaxation areas. Commissioned works by UAE-based artists and craftspeople
further incorporate regional creativity into the interiors.
Sustainability is also
reflected in the resort’s Earth Lab, which will offer guests and local
residents opportunities to learn about environmental regeneration and
participate in initiatives supporting Dubai’s sustainability goals.
Flora the Flamingo,
the property's sustainability mascot, will add a playful element to these
initiatives. All mascot sales, alongside 0.5 per cent of resort revenue, will
be directed towards a Regenerative Impact Fund supporting local environmental
and social projects.
Wellness and
Longevity
Spanning 5,500 square
metres across indoor and outdoor spaces, the Six Senses Spa will feature a
vitality pool circuit, hammam and Biohacking Recovery Lounge. Additional
facilities will include an Alchemy Bar for creating personalised botanical
blends, a movement studio and fitness spaces.
The wellness programme
will combine traditional healing practices with science-led longevity
treatments. Guests will have access to Wellness Screenings, preventive care and
personalised multi-day programmes covering sleep, fitness, yoga and Ayurveda.
Nova Clinic will
complement the spa with advanced diagnostics and preventive health services.
Treatments will range from a traditional Moroccan hammam to the Traveler’s
Hack, which combines red-light therapy with compression and vibration therapy.
Dining Across Five
Venues
Dining will follow the
brand’s Eat With Six Senses philosophy, focusing on seasonal and regional
produce, mindful preparation and flexible menus.
The resort’s culinary
offering will include five venues:
In-room dining will
also be available around the clock.
Expanding
Wellness-Led Living in Dubai
The opening represents
a significant development for Select Group and Six Senses, reflecting growing
interest in luxury residences and hospitality centred on wellness and a
connection to place.
Israr Liaqat, Group Chief Executive Officer of Select Group, said: “Bringing Six Senses to Dubai has been a long-held ambition, and today it becomes a reality. When we first partnered with Six Senses, we shared a belief that the way people live and travel was changing, and that wellness and a genuine connection to place would define the future of luxury. Six Senses The Palm, Dubai is the expression of that belief. The response from homeowners, who chose to make these residences their own long before the doors opened, shows how strongly that idea resonates in Dubai. This opening is also a beginning: with Six Senses Residences Dubai Marina, we look forward to shaping the next chapter of wellness-led living in the city.” -TradeArabia News Service
