Top CBB official retires

The deputy governor of the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) Anwar Khalifa Al Sadah has retired after 27 years of service, officials have confirmed.
During nearly three decades of work he helped introduce new regulations for the sukuk market and strengthen the country's position as a leading Islamic finance centre in the Middle East. Sources said he was taking up a position with the Al Salam Bank.
