Nasco Karaoglan Group, a leading insurance group, today officially launched its office in Doha, Qatar.

Nasco Karaoglan Qatar received authorisation from the Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) Regulatory Authority in August 2007 to provide a broad range of insurance broking and risk advisory services in Qatar and was the first Insurance Broker to be licensed by the Qatar Financial Centre and in the State of Qatar.

Karim EL Zyr, manager of Nasco Karaoglan Qatar, said: ’It is an honour to be recognised as the first Insurance Broker in Qatar.”

Nasco Karaoglan is an international insurance group that deals with all aspects of insurance and reinsurance.

Established over 40 years ago and currently operating in a number of European countries as well as the Middle East, Nasco Karaoglan operates directly as an insurance broker or through underwriting agencies, or as insurer. It has a substantial interest in several insurance companies and  reinsurance companies, operating from the group's head office in Paris.

The Doha office of Nasco Karaoglan will liaise with its three other offices in the Middle East region (Dubai, Jeddah and Beirut) to enhance its insurance services for customers active in the Middle East region.
