Nexus opens office at Qatar Financial Centre

Doha , April 21, 2009

Nexus, the Middle East’s largest independent financial advisor, has opened an office in Doha to cater to the growing demand for tailored financial solutions.

Operating within the Qatar Financial Centre, Nexus will provide impartial insurance and investment advice (limited to insurance products) to businesses and private customers, said a company statement.

The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) has recently projected that Qatar will become the world’s fastest growing economy during 2009 with real GDP growth in 2009  projected at 10.7 per cent.

“Providing more transparent financial services will support the tremendous economic growth seen in Qatar,” said Mahmoud Nodjoumi, chairman and CEO, Nexus Group.

“Our authorised advisors will be able to help individuals and businesses to accumulate and protect their wealth.”

“Nexus does not have exclusive ties with any product provider so we are able to deliver independent advice to meet the specific needs of our client,” he added.

"Nexus Financial Services is regulated by the Qatar Financial Centre Regulatory Authority to operate in and from the QFC for the provision of advice on insurance products."

Fetooh Al Zayani, managing director Business Development, Insurance and Reinsurance said: “Nexus brings a respected reputation for impartial, transparent advice which will help support Qatar’s growing need for independent financial advice."

"The company will add new products and services to the Qatari market to support our objective to become the region’s leading insurance and reinsurance hub."

Nexus has a pedigree in the Gulf stretching back over nearly twenty years, with offices in the Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Bahrain.-TradeArabia News Service
