CIB net profit slides to $79m in Q2

Egypt's Commercial International Bank (CIB), a leading private sector lender, has reported a second quarter 2009 consolidated net profit of EGP439 million ($79.2 million), compared to EGP527.3 million a year earlier.

The net profit figure was given to Reuters by a CIB spokesman. He did not give any further details.

The forecasts for the three-month period from five analysts ranged between EGP392 million and EGP537.5 million. The average of the forecasts was 441.6 million pounds. – Reuters
