Travelex opens new Bahrain outlet

Manama, February 11, 2012

Travelex, a leading foreign exchange group, has opened its new outlet in Bab Al Bahrain as part of its regional expansion plans.

The company first launched its operations in Bahrain in 2004 with a number of locations in Bahrain International Airport.

In 2006, the company opened its first downtown location and has continued to expand its network of outlets each year since.

This tremendous growth has led to Travelex becoming the largest Western Union provider in Bahrain.

The new Travelex Bab Al Bahrain outlet was inaugurated by chief guest Kerala Minister for Labour and Rehabilitation Shibu Baby John.

Also present were Travelex remittance manager Biju Jacob and director and general manager Kashif Khan.

The new outlet relocated from the 24-hour supermarket to the opposite side of the road, in the Bahrain Air Office Building, offering more spacious facilities for customers.

Travelex will continue to offer more than 30 foreign currencies, a buyback guarantee, Western Union services as well as the Travelex Money Transfer (TMT) service which was launched in December 2011.

TMT allows customers to quickly and conveniently transfer money to any bank account in India.

Having opened in the kingdom eight years ago, Travelex now has 24 outlets strategically located across Bahrain.

Travelex Bahrain's 24 outlets are part of a global network of more than 1,000 stores and over 500 ATMs across 25 countries.-TradeArabia News Service
