Bahrain to discuss key issues at Arab finance meet

Bahrain Finance Minister Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa yesterday headed to Morocco to preside over the third Arab Finance Ministers' meeting and to participate in the joint annual meetings of Arab financial agencies.

The meeting will discuss a number of financial and economic issues aimed at boosting financial stability of Arab countries, funding of Arab trade and exports assurance.

The key issues including stability of prices of foodstuffs, improvement of business ergonomics, increasing of job opportunities, co-ordination of stances of Arab countries will also be taken up at upcoming meetings of the IMF and World Bank in addition to a report from the World Bank on latest regional and international economic developments.

Bahraini delegation, being led by the minister, comprises Finance Ministry assistant under-secretary for economic affairs Yusuf Abdulla Humood, director for external economic relations Sami Mohammed Hameed and senior co-ordination and follow-up specialist in the minister's office Mohammed Fouad Satir.-TradeArabia News Service
