Egypt inflation drops to 4.25pc

Egypt's urban consumer inflation declined to 4.25 per cent in the 12 months to November from an annual 6.7 per cent in October, Egypt's central bank said on Monday.

Core consumer price inflation fell to an annual 4.2 per cent in the year to November from 4.64 per cent in the 12 months to October, the bank said on its website.

Core inflation strips out subsidised goods and volatile items including fruit and vegetables.-Reuters
