UAB, Al Ansari partner for payment solution

Sharjah, June 20, 2013

UAE-based United Arab Bank has entered into strategic partnership with Al Ansari Exchange (AAE), a top exchange company, towards providing an additional payment collection facility for its credit card customers.

With immediate effect, United Arab Bank credit card customers can walk into any of the 120 AAE branches spread across the UAE for their credit card payments, a statement said.

The payments collected by Al Ansari Exchange will be treated as regular payment towards UAB’s credit cards.

Tom Smith, executive vice-president & group head of Retail Banking, said: “Currently, customers can make a credit card payment through any of United Arab Bank’s branches or our online channels.

“However, with this new alliance with AAE, customers will have the option of using any of their 120 conveniently located branches (including their presence in all the major shopping malls in the country) to make such payments with ease.”

Smith explained that the payment is a simple three-step process, where at the AAE counter; customers will provide their basic details and credit card number. AAE will then process the request and provide customers with a receipt for cash deposited and upload payment details to United Arab Bank. – TradeArabia News Service
