UAE-based Mashreq, a leading financial institution, has launched its Easy Cheque solution, enabling its credit card members to pay anyone, anywhere, in any currency using their Mashreq cards account.

With the launch of Easy Cheque, Mashreq credit card customers can get a cheque straight out of their credit card account to make payments related to rental, property, education, investment or any other area where credit cards are not accepted.

The customers have to call the bank and it will arrange for a cheque, charged to their credit card account, to be delivered to their doorstep. They can pay the amount in equal installments over a period of time.

Nimish Dwivedi, head of Payments, Mashreq, said: “At Mashreq, we have created an innovative offering where our customers can pay at places where cards are not accepted, not through their bank account but credit card account.”

“This imparts a whole new level of convenience to Mashreq credit cards for managing all their cash flow and spending needs.

“Our aim is to ensure that customers can pay anywhere, anyone, in any currency from their credit card account, as there are still many areas where customers need to use cheques which get charged to their bank account.
