The National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) has launched a programme that allows its cardholders to redeem their NBAD Stars through an NBAD Visa card.

The card will be loaded with the cardholder’s redeemable Stars. While vouchers were redeemable at select leading merchants, this card can be used at any point of sale that accepts Visa cards.

“NBAD’s Prepaid Stars Rewards Card, the first of its kind in the region, offers our esteemed cardholders a convenient and speedy way to take advantage of their earned reward points,” said Navneet Dave, the head of NBAD Cards.

Marcello Baricordi, general manager for Visa in the UAE and Global Accounts said: “Visa is delighted to be partnering with the NBAD to provide their customers with Visa Prepaid Stars Reward Cards. The Visa prepaid card is quickly replacing voucher based loyalty schemes.

NBAD Stars, a premier rewards programme, offers all the bank's credit cardholders Stars for every dirham spent. In addition, cardholders benefit from extra Stars at select partners that include travel agencies, luxury hotel, restaurants, cinemas, spas, high end brand clothing, furniture retailers, electronic dealers such as Sharaf DG, jewellers and venues such as Wild Wadi and Abu Dhabi Marina Circuit.

NBAD cardholders may also opt to convert their Stars to Emirates Airlines Skywards Miles or receive flydubai vouchers.

In addition to NBAD Stars, the cardholders will also benefit from top security features and a host of benefits and privileges. When cardholders make online purchases, they have the option to verify the transaction with one-time password (OTP) or use their token-generating pin. - TradeArabia News Service
