NBAD partners with top business school

Abu Dhabi, December 8, 2013

The National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) has teamed up with Insead, a leading international business school, to provide one of its staff members each year the opportunity to study for its global executive MBA course every year.

The 15-month executive programme is being offered between Abu Dhabi, Singapore and France, said the bank in a statement.

The scholarship, named after the late Dr Jauan Salem Al Dhaheri, who was NBAD’s deputy chairman, is part of the banks Emiratisation strategy aiming to attract, retain, and develop the best qualified UAE nationals.

Ehab Hassan, senior managing director and group chief HR officer, said:  “We already offer a range of executive education through the NBAD Academy and we have a long standing partnership with Insead.  The addition of this scholarship for the Global Executive MBA will help to enhance the range available to key talent within the bank and further supports our commitment to Emiratisation”.

Under the scholarship, every year one high potential UAE national from the bank will be selected according to competitive selection criteria both within the NBAD and Insead’s own rigorous selection process.

The first recipient of the scholarship is Omar Al Shamsi, vice president of Mena (Institutional Sales) at NBAD. - TradeArabia News Service
