Takaud launches savings drive in Bahrain

Manama, January 15, 2014

Takaud, a specialist savings and pensions provider for the Mena region, has launched its ‘The Need to Save’ campaign in Bahrain.

It will host an exhibition stand in the Bahrain City Centre from January 16 to 25, as part of its public awareness campaign, to encourage people to save.

Bahraini nationals and residents will have direct access to its team of experts to learn more about the critical need to save for the long term and to plan for life’s major events, including a new home purchase, starting a business, children’s education, retirement and unexpected emergencies.

According to the National Bonds GCC Savings Index, 64 per cent of GCC citizens save less than a fifth of their monthly income, with 84 per cent of GCC residents believing their savings are not adequate to support their long term needs.

In order to prevent a future savings crisis, families and individuals need to understand the importance of financial planning and the discipline needed to save on a regular basis to secure a comfortable future.

The exhibition stand will address these issues by providing complementary savings guidance, illustrations, supporting literature and will provide attendees with access to an exclusive prize draw.

Eric Van Biesen acting CEO, said: “Financial planning is a critical skill if one wants to enjoy a comfortable life in coming years and secure their family’s long term future.

“Takaud’s mission is to provide everyday people both nationals and expat citizens with simple and affordable savings solutions.”

“As a business, we are committed to creating a savings culture not only here in our home country of Bahrain but across the wider Mena region,” Biesen added. - TradeArabia News Service
