Riyadh, May 1, 2014

Saudi Arabia's current account surplus shrank to 503.7 billion riyals ($134.3 billion) in 2013 from 617.9 billion riyals in the previous year, central bank estimates showed on Wednesday.

The 2013 surplus accounts for 18.0 percent of the Opec member's gross domestic product, down from 22.4 percent in 2012, according to a Reuters calculation based on the official data.

Analysts polled by Reuters in January forecast that the world's top crude exporter will see a current account surplus of 18.7 percent of GDP in 2013 and 14.7 percent in 2014. - Reuters
